redbear and Super Famicom are dudes from the mythical state of Illinois. They're being chased by a tiger. Last Saturday they stopped to play some jams to buy money for tiger food. Here's what Patrick (aka redbear) had to say for himself:
Can you tell us a little bit about what you're about, and maybe give us some info how this project came to be? well, i used to play in a math-rock band, but when we were in the process of breaking up, i decided that i needed to keep performing music, so i started up my satanic black-metal band, Redbear.
Do you have any future plans for other projects or other projects in the works? Redbear. & the Unrelenting Fog:
it will be songs that i write, but with noise, banjo, percussion, cello, and maybe some other stuff. i just can't find that type of band, though. lame.
What's been the most memorable stop on the tour, good or bad? this question is too hard to answer. i definitely feel most comfortable in the middle of america (wisconsin to texas). also, we played a show with a lot of our friends in Thousand Oaks, CA and Little Wings (K Records) played. That was pretty rad.
Who's been your favorite band or dude/dudette to share a bill with? Defiance, OH, Arrah and the Ferns, or Little Wings.
However, that's with the exception of all of my friends' bands.
What do you guys usually bump in the van? Is there any particular album you forgot and only when you were too far away from home did you realize you didn't bring it? PJ (super famicom) and I listen to a lot of Dr. Dre's 'Chronic: 2001', and Alkaline Trio mix cds. also, some metal, and Real Live Tigers, Karrie Hopper, Sam King, Mount Eerie, Little Wings and Arrah and the Ferns. Those have been some popular jams.
